Jekyll & Highsmith Publishers are pleased to announce the release of Galaxy of Fire: Journey to an Ancient Spiritual World, 2nd Edition, published for the Amazon Kindle e-Reader devices and software app platforms.
There has been great interest in seeing Jay's book come back into print. Working with Jay's family, and aided by the author's extensive notes, we have lovingly crafted a 2nd edition of Jay's autobiographical story of his time in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam conflict and the years following when he was a Governor in the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation (TM) program.
Jay's story is an "everyman" story, with a bigger-than-life twist, where he writes about his search for the true meaning of life. His life pilgrimage detailed in the pages of Galaxy of Fire takes him, first, into the Vietnam conflict in Southeast Asia in the late 1960s, followed by his study of Vedic knowledge as part of Maharishi's TM program during the 1970s in the US, Switzerland and India, and culminating with his first of many pilgrimages to the holy Panch Kedar sites dedicated to Shiva in Nepal and in India's Uttarkashi region in 1985.
This is a 2nd Edition of Jay's wonderful book, not simply a reprint. There were many things about the 1st Edition that Jay had planned to improve and refine before its first run publication in 2000, but he was unable to complete the task before he "dropped his body" and left this world. A long time in coming, the 2nd Edition is now available for the Kindle platform and mobile device e-Reader for iPad, iPhone, Android, and Windows platforms. Look for it on Amazon and (soon) Apple's iBooks stores.
